Discovering Our Cat Herder Admin: How to Sign Off Minutes
Recorded 04 March 2026
What's Covered
This video walks through the full minutes sign-off flow in Our Cat Herder, including sending minutes to the chair, the chair signing them off, and how to unlock minutes if changes are needed.
Sending Minutes to the Chair
- Navigate to the meeting in Meetings
- Click Manage then Take Minutes
- Click the Send to Chair button at the bottom
- Confirm the send — the chair will receive an email with a link to the minutes
Chair Must Be Invited
The chair must be invited to the meeting as the chair role. If they are not, you won't be able to send the minutes to them.
Chair Signing Off Minutes
- The chair clicks the link in their email (or navigates to the meeting and clicks Take Minutes then Minutes)
- Click Sign-Off Minutes (available at the top or bottom of the page)
- Review the minutes in the preview window, optionally including actions
- Choose which attendees to notify about the sign-off (select all, some, or none)
- Click Sign Off and Notify
Once signed off, the PDF will show an approval stamp with the date.
Re-notifying Attendees
After sign-off, both the chair and the admin/meeting creator can re-notify specific attendees if needed using the Re-notify button.
Unlocking Signed-Off Minutes
If changes are needed after sign-off:
- The admin or meeting creator can click Request Unlock
- The chair receives an email to approve the unlock request
- The chair clicks Approved Unlock Request to confirm
- Minutes can now be edited again
- When changes are complete, the chair can Relock Minutes or the send-to-chair flow can be repeated
All unlock and relock actions are documented in the unlock log for audit purposes.
