This video walks through how to clean up formatting issues in your minutes text, particularly when the PDF preview shows inconsistent font sizes or styling.

• Spotting Issues — when previewing your PDF, look for text that is noticeably larger or smaller than the standard font. It may not always be immediately obvious in the editor view.
• Editing — you can fix formatting via the minute taker or by editing individual minutes items
• Fixing Font Size:
  1. Select all the affected text (make sure you highlight everything — partial selections won't apply correctly)
  2. Set the font size to default — Cat Herder will handle the rest
• Formatting Tools — there are additional tools to help clean up text:
  • Clear Styles — removes formatting from selected text
  • Cleaner — similar to Clear Styles but handles some background formatting differently
  • Font tools — reset font to default

Select All Text First

Make sure you select all the text before applying clear styles or font changes. If you only click into the text without selecting it, the tools won't apply correctly.

These tools are especially useful when you've copied and pasted content from external sources (e.g. Word documents) which can bring in unwanted formatting.
